Legendary New York rock musicians, Go Go Dolls, have released their initial NFT series as part of their upcoming summer tour celebrations. There are 2,200 NFTs with 44 several designs. Each of these designs is inspired by their upcoming album: ‘Chaos in Bloom’.
The Goo Goo Dolls band are announcing “limited edition, eco-friendly NFTs” for each city they visit in their summer tour, according to an announcement post on Twitter. They added that the digital collectibles will just be available at the touring shows; thus, those attending should be on the lookout for QR codes to scan at the venues.
According to extract information from their album ‘Chaos in Bloom’. They will substitute the word “bloom” for the different cities on the tour. Each NFT will be animated artwork to show more information about each show.
Despite the group’s talk about NFTs just being available at shows, the different NFTs can be seen on the Fanaply platform for $25 and are available for purchase. The eco-friendly nature comes from the blockchain they are hosted on: Polygon. The blockchain has long been admired for this eco-friendliness for a long time.
Unluckily, some Goo Goo Dolls’ fans took to Twitter with confusion. “What does NFT stand for?” asked Twitter user @susanmfhorn. While another, @EmeraldLatias, said: “There is no such thing as eco-friendly NFTs. Whoever sold you that is lying via their teeth.” Fanaply answered to this tweet about what they are doing to save the environment.
