A new NFT gallery in New York City’s Manhattan is offering digital artists the chance to exhibit and sell their NFTs within a physical art gallery, without ever having to step foot in the United States.
The gallery, which is dubbed the ‘Web3 NYC Gallery,’ has teamed up with NFT display pioneers Tokenframe to launch a collection of 300 Genesis NFTs. Only the holders of these NFTs will have the right to display their art within the gallery. Some will be able to present their work on a 10-inch Collector’s Club display, and others on a 21.5-inch Degen Club display, or on a 43-inch Alpha Club display.
Genesis NFT holders won’t have to make any ongoing rent-like payments to have their NFTs displayed, as all they must do is complete a one-time payment for their Genesis NFT, with NFTs relating to the 10-inch displays costing from 1.5 ETH to 2 ETH, and NFTs relating to the 21.5-inch displays costing from 5 ETH to 10 ETH. The NFTs corresponding to the 43-inch displays will take a different course of action, as each are being privately sold at unlisted prices.
Genesis NFT holders will be able to navigate the software developed by the Web3 NYC Gallery, which will allow them to choose which digital artwork of theirs they wish to showcase. They can do this freely from the comfort of their own home, irrespective of what country or continent they are in.
For now, the only limitation for artists is that their NFT must reside on the Ethereum blockchain, however Tokenframe is planning to add support for other blockchains like Tezos and Solana in the future.
With regards to how in-store NFT purchases will be made, QR codes will be used to initiate the transaction, with tech-savvy associates on hand to help customers set up a wallet and learn about the general process of buying and managing NFTs.
For digital art enthusiasts in and around the New York area, Web3 NYC Gallery opened its doors on June 15th, and is located at 510 5th Avenue in Manhattan.
