Hot Wheels set to release second NFT project

For the better part of five decades, Hot Wheels has been an integral part of many people’s childhoods, and in more ways than one, hot wheels are a part of our culture as Millennials and Gen-Z. Odds are you’ve owned or interacted with at least one hot wheel toy in the past.

Since the pandemic started in early 2020, companies and brands Worldwide have identified NFTs and Web3 as an avenue for revenue generation and customer engagement, and Hot Wheels is no exception.

In November 2021, Hot Wheels launched its NFT Garage Collectibles with a starting price of only $15 per pack. The collection offered 40 designs, including some of the most iconic Hot Wheels ever created. These iconic vehicles were replicated on digital trading cards and modeled after nostalgic Hot Wheels packaging.

The original NFT Garage Series collection was made available in basic four-card and premium ten-card packs featuring a healthy range of rarity, including Base, Rare, Premium, and Treasure Hunt (NFTH). One thing that stood out with the original collection is that the team behind the project went out of their way to make the collection more accessible for collectors and fans. The first project featured 5,000 rare cards that could be redeemable for special-edition, real-life Hot Wheels vehicles.
Hot Wheels have come a long way in its NFT journey, and the second installment of its NFT project already shows signs of being more extensive and more encompassing than the original launch. As time goes on, it’ll only get larger and more exciting.

With the Hot Wheels NFT Garage Series 2, holders lucky enough to access one of the following rare vehicles 1955 Chevy Bel Air Gasser, Custom Otto, Corvette C8 R, and the Custom Otto, can access physical representations of their NFTs.
